Commencement of enrolment in Graduate, Diploma and Certificate Programmes for students of Africa from 8th December 2020 under e-VidyaBharti and e-ArogyaBharti (e-VBAB) Project
Hon’ble Minister of External Affairs Dr S. Jaishankar formally launched the e-VidyaBharti (Tele-education) and e-ArogyaBharti (Tele-medicine) Project on 7th October 2019.
The Tele-education portal is accessible at https://ilearn.gov.in, which provides access for students of Africa to 35+ online graduate programmes and certificates that can help to gain technical and managerial skills, enter a new field, or prepare for advanced study.
The Tele-education project aims to offer 15000 scholarships to the Students of Africa during 5 years period to pursue undergraduate and postgraduate courses from premier public and private Universities of India. As on date total 1222 scholarships have been offered to the students enrolled in various disciplines including engineering and technology, business administration and commerce, healthcare, tourism, humanities and arts.
The students of 17 countries of Africa namely Benin, Comoros, Cote d'Ivoire (Ivory Coast), Democratic Republic of Congo, Eritrea, Gambia, Ghana, Guinea, Malawi, Mali, Mauritius, Mozambique, Seychelles, Sierra Leone, Sudan, Uganda and Zambia, are eligible to avail the scholarship under various disciplines.
The e-VBAB team is happy to announce commencement of enrolment for new academic session January 2021 from 8th December 2020.
