Centre for Development of Stones (CDOS) is an apex stone industry autonomous organization of Government of Rajasthan working with a mission to develop, promote and support dimensional stone and allied industry in India. With a view to promote trade in this sector, CDOS has been undertaking a variety of initiatives like international exhibitions in India, country pavilions in fairs abroad, buyer-seller meets, support to trade delegations,  training programmes, testing of stones, R&D activities etc.

INDIA STONEMART is an international stone industry exhibition being organised biennially by Centre for Development of Stones (CDOS) along with Rajasthan State Industrial Development & Investment Corporation Ltd. (RIICO) since year 2000. Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FICCI) is the co-organiser of the event.

India Stonemart is one of the most prominent exhibitions in global stone sector which showcases natural stones and products, Quartz stone slabs, related machinery, tools, equipment, consumables etc. covering entire gamut of stones and services.  

With the whole-hearted support of High Commission of India, earlier editions of the event  from the year 2000 to 2019 had substantial international participation. India Stonemart 2019 had 134 overseas exhibitors from Brazil, China, Iran, Italy, Spain, Turkey & Taiwan and over 1800 overseas business visitors from 52 countries and total exhibit area of over 40000 sq.m.

India is a leading producer of stones and witnessing phenomenal growth in all segments including construction, real estate and infrastructure sector. Many companies have forayed into manufacturing Quartz stone slabs which are in high demand world over.  All such activities have given tremendous impetus to stone sector.  Hence, there is immense potential for increasing bilateral stone trade between Ghana and India.
