Inauguration of Pravasi Bharatiya Kendra (PBK)

Hon'ble Prime Minister of India will inaugurate the Pravasi Bharatiya Kendra in New Delhi and dedicate it to the Indian Diaspora on 2nd October 2016.

Pravasi Bharatiya Kendra(PBK) is a tribute to the overseas Indian community and commemorates their migration to various parts of the world, the challenges they faced abroad, their achievements and contributions.

Over time, the Kendra is expected to develop into a hub of activities for sustainable, symbolic and mutually rewarding economic, social and cultural engagement between India and its Diaspora. Activities, seminars, events, workshops pertaining to the Indian Diaspora are expected to be organized in PBK. The Museum in the Kendra will depict the history of migration of the overseas Indian community; their experience and contributions.

The High Commission of India will be organizing an event at Osu Temple from 8.30 to 9.00 PM on 2nd October when inauguration ceremony by Hon'ble Prime Minister earlier during the day will also be shown. All members of the Indian diaspora are cordially invited.
