Celebrations of 130th Birth Anniversary of Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar
India@75 : Social Justice - Cornerstone of Indian Constitution
High Commission of India celebrated 130th birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar as part of India@75 AmritMahotsav on 14th April 2021 at High Commission of India. The event started with floral tributes to Dr Bhim Rao Ambedkar followed by the address of High Commissioner. High Commissioner during his address emphasised on strong foundation laid by Dr. Ambedkar through provisions in the Constitution ensuring ‘Social Justice for All’ in 75 years of Indian Independence. Dr. Dr. Emmanuel Akwetey, Ghanaian political and governance expert & Executive Director of Institute for Democratic Governance, was the guest speaker, who also spoke on the occasion.
2. Quiz on the life and teaching of Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar was also conducted, followed by the awards to winners of essay competition.
