Inviting nominations for Pravasi Bharatiya Samman Awards 2025

 Opening of nominations for Pravasi Bharatiya Samman Award 2025

The Government of India has opened nominations for the Pravasi Bharatiya Samman Award (PBSA) 2025. PBSA is the highest honour recognising the contribution and achievements of Indian diaspora and is conferred by the President of India during the valedictory session of the Pravasi Bhartiya Diwas (PBD) Convention held biennially. The next PBD Convention will be held in January 2025.

  1. PBSA is awarded to a Non-Resident Indian (NRI), Person of Indian Origin (PIO), or an Organization established and run by a PIO/NRI who has made significant contribution either overseas or in India, in one of the following fields:

For achievements abroad

  1. Better understanding of India;

  2. Support to India’s causes and concerns in a tangible way;

  3. Building closer links between India, the overseas Indian community and their country of residence;

  4. Social and humanitarian causes India or abroad;

  5. Welfare of the local Indian community; (g Philanthropic and charitable work;

  6. Eminence in one’s field or outstanding work, which has enhanced India's prestige in the country of residence; or

  7. Eminence in skills which has enhanced India's prestige in that country (for non- professional workers).

For achievements within India

  1. Philanthropic investments and charitable work in India;

  2. For contribution made towards India's development

  3. There is also a system of self-nomination by Disapora members / organisations. Such individuals/organisations who wish to self nominate can send their competed nomination form directly by email to pbsaward@mea.qov.in.

  4. This information is being publicized to invite suitable nominations for PBSA 2025 among indian Diaspora in Kuwait. Duly filled in nomination form (attached herewith) along with enclosures can be sent latest by 31 March, 2024 to info.accra@mea.gov.in

2. Citation and bio-data/CV of the nominee may be sent as an attachment with this nomination form.

3. Electronic form of the passport size photograph of the nominee (in case of individual nominees), and an electronic format of the logo/ emblem (in case of association) may be sent with the nomination form.

4. The nominations along with a passport size photograph may be sent by email to the email address pbsaward@mea.gov.in. 

5. Incomplete nomination form will not be accepted.
