Presentation of Letters of Credence by H.E. Mr. Manish Gupta, High Commissioner of India to Ghana
High Commissioner of India to Ghana, H.E. Mr. Manish Gupta, presented his Letters of Credence to the President of the Republic of Ghana, H.E. Mr. Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, on 13th February 2024, at a ceremony at the Jubilee House, Office of the President at Accra.
Hon. President welcomed the High Commissioner and wished him every success in his new responsibilities. Warmly recalling the historical ties between the two countries, Hon. President underscored India’s role as one of the important partner countries and expressed appreciation for the contributions of the Indian community to the Ghanaian economy. He called for the expansion of trade, economic, and investment ties.
The High Commissioner conveyed warm greetings from the people and Government of India to the Hon. President and thanked him for the audience. He briefed him on Hon. PM of India Narendra Modi’s vision for the Global South, opportunities for economic growth by harnessing the potential of young demographics, particularly in information technology and the services sector, and ongoing developmental cooperation between the two countries. He assured Hon. President of his commitment to strengthen the bonds of friendship further and deepen multi-faceted bilateral ties.
